Community Partners
At United Way of Champaign County, we know that lasting change happens when we all work together. Every day, we unite people, nonprofits, businesses, and community leaders to make Champaign County a place where everyone can thrive.
How We Partner
We build partnerships in many ways — through community grants, programs we directly manage, and collaborations with local businesses and individuals who give their time and resources to strengthen our community.
Grant Partners
United Way provides annual community grants to local nonprofit organizations that deliver measurable results in our four impact areas:
Youth Opportunity · Financial Security · Healthy Community · Community Resiliency
These grants fund programs that help children succeed in school, support families working toward financial stability, improve access to health and basic needs, and strengthen our community as a whole.
Our grant partners are the hands and feet of change — doing vital work every day to improve lives across Champaign County.
Programs We Manage
In addition to awarding grants, United Way also manages several programs directly. These initiatives fill critical gaps and connect local families with the resources they need to succeed:
-
Bottom Line Diaper Bank – providing free diapers to families across Champaign County
-
Dolly Parton Imagination Library – delivering free books monthly to children from birth to age five
-
Read. Talk. Play. Every Day! – helping parents and caregivers prepare children for kindergarten success
Each of these programs is powered by local volunteers, donors, and community support.

Business and Community Partnerships
We’re proud to partner with local businesses, civic groups, and individuals who give their time, talent, and treasure to make a difference. From corporate giving campaigns and volunteer projects to sponsorships and in-kind donations, these partners make our work possible.
Because when we unite, we can accomplish what no one organization can do alone.
Together, We’re United for Champaign County
Every person, every organization, every partnership matters. Whether you give, advocate, or volunteer — you are part of creating lasting change in Champaign County.
United is the Way.
