ECL (COMMUNITY COHORT) TEAM PREFERENCE

ONLY necessary for the ECL Community Cohort. Please complete the form by Wednesday, April 8, 12pm.


Mission and contact info: Supporting people across the generations by providing quality human services. https://www.famservcc.org
Volunteer experience: Opportunities include providing support for Meals on Wheels or Food for Seniors to help deliver meals locally.
Availability: Meals on Wheels - Monday through Friday from 11:00am-1:00pm / Food for Seniors - second and fourth Tuesday of every month from 7:00-9:00am
Mission and contact info: We build homes, communities, and hope in Champaign County. https://www.cuhabitat.org
Volunteer experience: The group will participate in a home build, likely on a Saturday, but possibly sometime mid-week.
Mission and contact info: Providing help that empowers and equips people to change their lives and transform our community. www.saltandlightministry.org
Volunteer experience: The group will help with the operation of the thrift and grocery stores. Scheduled based on the group's availability and store needs. 
Mission and contact info: leads in a creation of a community where all who hold historically and actively marginalized gender and sexual identities can live fulfilling, joyful, healthy, and vibrant lives. https://www.unitingpride.org
Volunteer experience: The group will work with staff for the Queer Prom. Must be available afternoon/evening, Friday, May 8th.
Mission and contact info: Provides afterschool, school’s out day activities and summer enrichment camp for children. www.urbanaconnectionscenter.org
Volunteer experience: The group will help organize Mrs. Mitchell’s Closet, part of Operation Caring Closets to provide local schools with basic needs items for students. The team may also prepare Mrs. Mitchell's Garden, volunteer as a Book Buddy for K-2 students, and assist with homework for students in either the K-2, 3-5, or 6-8+ group. Volunteer time(s) will be coordinated with the group.
Mission and contact info: Operated through Wesley United Methodist Church and Parkland College. Partner of Project DASH with United Way of Champaign County 
Volunteer experience: The team will help at evening distributions at Wesley United Methodist Church in Urbana or with a garden preparation day. Thursday evening availability is helpful.
