2-1-1: Help starts here.

2-1-1: Three simple numbers you can dial to find the help you need. In Champaign County and across much of Illinois, 2-1-1 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year to answer your call and help you find the services you need. A real, caring person answers the phone and provides support and hope to every caller. Each year on February 11 (2/11), we celebrate and bring awareness to the 2-1-1 service.

2-1-1 helps people find answers: emergency shelter, food pantries, employment, disability services, counseling, addictions, tax preparation and even volunteering. 2-1-1 can help you find the right service with just one call.

The 2-1-1 service covers Champaign County and most of North America. Over 2,500 calls are answered each year in Champaign County alone. In the US, no matter where you live, or what language you speak, 2-1-1 is here for you. Nationally, 2-1-1 answers 14 million calls each year.

An extremely important part of 2-1-1 is the data and reporting that is provided. United Way uses this data to better understand the needs in our community.

Funding for 2-1-1 in Champaign County is provided by United Way of Champaign County and the Champaign County Mental Health Board.
