July's Book Recommendations - Travel

Make a summer of learning last all year long! United Way will be recommending board books, early reader, and young adult books on the 15th of every month, based on a monthly theme and including everything from classics to personal picks from our staff! We hope you’ll join us and share some of your favorite books. Leave a comment with some titles/authors you enjoyed as a child or have shared with your family!

July’s theme is Travel! With vacation season in full swing and long plane or car rides to look forward to, sometimes your best travel companion can be a book. Here are a few literary trips we wanted to share. Many of these books have been adapted into movies. Comparing and contrasting the differences between the book and the movie is a great conversation starter and can lead to vibrant family discussion!
