Thousands of generous community members make annual gifts to United Way's Community Impact Fund. United Way of Champaign County allocates these gifts via two-year grants to local organizations working to create long-lasting, measurable changes in our Health, Education or Financial Stability priority areas.

Public Notice is hereby given that United Way of Champaign County will open the FY2021-2022 Grant Cycle with an Application Training.

All programs working to improve Health, Education or Financial Stability in Champaign County are invited to attend the Application training.

In order to be eligible to apply for a Community Impact Fund Grant, a representative from the program must attend the Application Training!

Community Impact Fund grants are intended to create long-lasting, measurable community change in Health, Education or Financial Stability. To measure community change, we use a common set of measurements called metrics. Each program applying for funding must indicate the target issue they are addressing and the outcomes and indicators they will use to measure their progress. A full list of our metrics is available here.

United Way of Champaign County's funding guidelines are specific.  In advance of the meeting, please review our Eligibility Rules to ensure your organization meets United Way's grant eligibility requirements. We do not provide funds to individuals, political institutions, school fundraisers, capital campaigns, capital items, endowments, marketing opportunities, event fundraisers or sports events.

All interested programs must attend the training. If your program does not attend the training, you will not be eligible for a United Way grant during this cycle, and the next opportunity to apply for a Community Impact Fund grant will be in Fall 2021.

If you have questions in advance of the meeting, please call Sue Grey, CEO of United Way of Champaign County, at 217-352-5151.

We are seeking volunteers committed to improving Education, Health, and Financial Stability to review the grant applications.
