Carmike Cinemas is hosting a Pre-Opening Night Charity Event at the new Carmike 13 in Champaign. The movies start at 7:00pm October 30, 2013. Proceeds from the Charity Night will benefit United Way of Champaign County and all attendees will be able to enjoy discounted admission and concessions, with tickets, popcorn and fountain drinks available at just $2 each. Movies will include a selection of recent blockbusters and family-friendly films, to be finalized closer to the event.
Moviegoers are encouraged to come early to have best choice of films, as ticket sales are first-come first-serve. The theater seats 2,800 people. Funds raised from the event will support United Way’s Community Impact Fund, which provides 2 year grant funding for local programs that improve Education, Health & Well-Being, Financial Stability and Community Basics in Champaign County.
