Green Light Project

November 3, 2012
Urbana’s Market at the Square & Curtis Orchard
7:00 am-12:00 pm at the Market & 11 am-4:00 pm at the Orchard

In support of National Runaway Prevention Month, social service agencies around the nation work to distribute green light bulbs prior to and during November that replace the traditional white porch light. During the month of November participants are asked to turn on their porch lights each night to show support for runaway and homeless youth awareness.

ECL class members and Community Elements staff will be present to provide information about runaway and homeless youth issues in the community and the programs available to assist the youth. Volunteers will hand out green light bulbs for people’s front porch lights along with treats from Atlanta Bread. Please spread the word and join us in flipping a switch!
